Background Information
Harju Elekter Group was established in 1968 and has grown into one of the biggest manufacturers of electrical equipment and materials in the Baltic countries. Net sales totalled almost 1 billion kroons, half of which was exported. Since 1997 the Harju Elekter concern has been quoted on the Tallinn Stock Exchange.
The company’s Electrical equipment factory is engaged in the development, design, manufacturing and marketing for distributing and transmitting electrical energy like substations, cable distribution cabinets and electrical switchboards, as well as equipment for industrial automation and various types of sheet metal products. The production process of the factory meets the requirements of ISO9001 quality standard.
The company’s Commerce group includes of electrical appliances stores in the biggest cities in Estonia and the Electrical heating equipment sales department who represents the products of French Thermor and British Unidare in local market.
In co-operation with foreign partners many subsidiaries and affiliates of Harju Elekter have evolved into independent and successful production companies.
Keila Kaabel is the leading installation cables and low-voltage power cable manufacturer in the Baltics. Continued its operations as an independent company in 1992.
Saajos Balti produces fireproof and safety doors for the Baltic construction and the global shipbuilding markets. Started its operation in 1995.
Subsidiary Eltek produces equipment for data and telecommunication companies in Estonia and abroad. In Harju Elekter Group since 1998.
Subsidiary Satmatic Oy in Finland manufactures industrial automation and power supply control systems, for example, for paper, metal and mechanical engineering industry, and vecile heating panels for car parks. In Harju Elekter Group since 2002.
Subsidiary UAB Rifas in Lithuania manufactures products for electrical energy distribution sector, also for industrial sector. In Harju Elekter Group since 2003.
